“The (better than a) Dream Dress -
I’ve tried to find the words to describe how deeply this dress moved me… and I am at loss.
Upon seeing the made-up dress for the first time, I turned to the JLB team and said:
I AM IN LOVE!
And let me tell you something… I am F***FUSSY!After years (slash most of my life) spent dreaming up my perfect wedding dress, you’d think no dress could possibly live up to the extremely high expectations I’d set.
But then came The Dickinson.

This dress didn’t just meet my expectations, it smashed them out the park!
It brought my dream to life, in the most breathtaking way.Timeless, yet unique, flawlessly constructed, and made with so much care and attention to detail that even my fussy self couldn’t find a single fault.
I genuinely loved every single minute of the process. From the fittings to the chats, the laughs, the champagne and the shared excitement – working with JLB was a journey filled with complete joy from start to finish.

How do I even start to explain what this dress and you guys meant to me and my day!
I guess the best place to start is at the beginning.
2 years ago I arrived at your show room with no expectations, I’m a very simple person who doesn’t usually go for the flashiest and out there dresses. I had a picture in my head of what my wedding dress would look like. Simple, high neck, tight fitting.
The week before I’d been at another fitting and they had shown me this exact dress (everything I wanted, right?) I remember turning to my best friend and saying that I don’t feel like a bride, but maybe you don’t ever feel like one and it’s just TV that gives you that idea. Oh how I was very wrong!
I arrived at your show room with that very expectation, however that friend persuaded me to try on one of your dresses that wasn’t really my style, and it hit me like a ton of bricks, I was a bride and this was my wedding dress!
Everything from that moment with JLB was so perfect! I felt like royalty every step of the way! From the day I “Said Yes to the Dress” I felt so important! Everything I asked for was replied to instantly with a yes!
To give some perspective, my mom lives in Dubai and had only seen the dress over Zoom. She was flying in for the Christmas holidays and JLB made a special plan to have a showing with her so she could see what the dress looked like in person! This was an incredibly special day for me!
After that, I had to postpone my wedding (stupid COVID) and JLB was super chilled and moved everything to the next year.
At this time my fiancé and I decided to relocate to the UK (this was before I’d had any fittings or anything). I dreaded telling JLB because I was going to ask them to make my dream dress in record timing and thought it would be a major issue.
I finally got up the courage and wrote them an email, to which I received an instant response, explaining that this would not be a problem and shared their plan for how they would achieve it. I was completely blown away.
Needless to say everything went perfectly from there! (Which is not expected - especially planning a wedding from another country!) Every fitting, I was made to feel like a queen, lots of happy tears were shed! Leading up to my final fitting, where Nelida made the biggest effort and made us feel like we were the only people that mattered in this world!
To end off, they wrote me a personalised letter to open on the day to say how special I was and wishing me everything of the best on my marriage! I was in tears!
The dress on the day made me feel like a queen and when the night came to an end, the saddest part was having to take it off! It was so comfy and every moment I spent in that dress was like a dream come true!

To be completely honest, I was brand new to the wedding dress world and not familiar with any designers. Instantly, JLB dresses drew me in, with the beautiful attention to detail and elegance. I tried on the Angelique dress and just knew it was the one for me! Anine at Loca was absolutely incredible with her knowledge of the dresses, guidance and reassurance. She took my measurements and sent them off to the Jeannelle l'Amour Bridal studio. Five months later, my dress arrived for a fitting. It is a pretty nerve wreaking experience - trying on a dress you fell in love with months before and not having seen again, and worrying that it was going to actually fit.
